community revitalization partnerships (crp)
Rebuilding Together’s Community Revitalization Partnerships (CRP) model expands our impact beyond individual home repairs, focusing on targeted neighborhoods to create safe, healthy, and thriving communities. Through this model, we collaborate with residents, volunteers, municipalities, nonprofits, businesses, foundations, and other partners to maximize community investment and long-term sustainability. By concentrating our efforts in specific areas and aligning with other non-profit organizations, service providers, or community partners, we can improve overall neighborhood conditions—ensuring that entire communities benefit.
Huey and Angelina Wilson Foundation Place Based Community Revitalization Project
Rebuilding Together Baton Rouge, in partnership with the Huey and Angelina Wilson Foundation, Habitat for Humanity, and Urban Restoration Enhancement Corporation, launched a groundbreaking home rehabilitation project—the first of its kind in Baton Rouge. This initiative focused on revitalizing the community by addressing critical health and safety concerns in more than six homes. The project involved extensive renovations, including removal of hazardous lead-based paint and asbestos, roof repair and replacement, foundation stabilization, and other essential improvements. By combining resources and expertise, we ensured that these homes meet safety standards and provide secure, healthy living environments for families in need. This initiative underscores our commitment to community development and demonstrates the power of collaboration in driving lasting, positive change.
